By Air

Leipzig-Halle Airport (LEJ) can be reached from a number of German and European airports, and has frequent train connections to the close-by fairground (Messe) and the main station (Hauptbahnhof/Hbf) in the city center.

Cheaper airfares may be available by flying to one of the international hubs like Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf or Berlin, and taking a train to Leipzig from there. Train tickets can be booked online from Deutsche Bahn.

A number of discount airlines operate within Europe. While not recommended as connections for transcontinental flights, you may find very good deals through skyscanner. Travellers from the UK or Spain may specifically want to check discount fares to Airport Altenburg-Nobitz (AOC). A bus shuttle runs between this airfield and the bus stop on the eastern side of Leipzig main station.

By Rail

Leipzig has rail connections to all major cities and airports. There are frequent services from/to e.g. Berlin (70 min), Dresden (70 min), Hamburg (3 h), Frankfurt (3.5 h), Munich (4.5 h) and Cologne (5.5 h), which provide connections to numerous European cities.

Leipzig's main station (Hauptbahnhof) is in walking distance to the Westin, Marriott, Renaissance, Radisson and Novotel, and provides quick tram connections to all other conference venues.

By Car

Leipzig is located south of the Autobahn A14 Halle-Dresden and 15km/9mi east of the A9, which links Berlin to Nuremberg.

Take the exit "Leipzig-Mitte" from the A14 and follow the signs to "Messe/CCL" for the Congress Center Leipzig on the fairground, or "Zentrum" for the hotels in the city center.

In Town

For public transport in the city, the LVB trams are most convenient. There are tram stops close to all hotels and conference venues.
